About us

If you're reading this it probably means that you haven't made up your mind and you're looking for a reason to go with us instead of another pool company. Fair enough, the hard sell is something like this:

Almost every major pool company in Austin has been bought out by private equity. They offer the owner a huge amount of money and as soon as they take over they raise prices and cut employee salaries. This results in inexperienced employees who don't know what they're doing and just keep adding more chemicals until the pool seems like it's staying blue.

While such high chemical usage is bad enough on it's own (unnecessarily high chlorine is absolutely no fun to swim in and can even be dangerous at certain levels) the real problem happens when the pools stabilizer levels get too high. Since stabilizer doesn't naturally leave the pool through evaporation the only option left is to drain and refill the pool. Worse yet, by the time the problem is even noticed most high CYA pools are already infested with black algae: the most hardy and destructive form of algae that can often go unnoticed in unbalanced pools for extended periods of time.

I could continue continue to talk about the many ways that private equity is bad for customers and how many of the oldest companies in Austin are "zombie companies" that are now filled with the least experienced pool techs in the industry, but if you've read this far I suggest reaching out so you can hear it in person using the contact form.
